Joining the Ladher Sitters Club has been one of the best decisions I’ve made since moving to NYC! As a young professional, having this side gig has helped ease the financial challenges of living in an expensive city. Beyond that, it’s been so rewarding to connect with wonderful families and care for the sweetest kids. I always look forward to seeing the girls I babysit and have had such a positive experience with the Ladher Sitters Club community.

As a full-time mom with little accessible childcare, I find the idea of going out with friends daunting simply because of the logistical challenges. Sending various texts to former one-time babysitters hoping they’re free and - if not - reaching out to mom-friends for their trusted networks is both time-consuming and cumbersome. Using Ladher Sitters streamlined the whole process. Not only did I only need to send one message, but I knew I was getting a trusted, experienced, and engaged sitter. Our sitter was incredible - punctual, cheery, thoughtful, bright, patient and kind - and my almost six-year-old and her friend had the best time. Additionally, Ladher Sitters professionalizes the whole process so on both sides the expectations around hourly rate, dinner, transportation and even pets (!) were clear and fulfilled. I feel like my own social calendar just opened.
